Truckload Tracking and Root Cause Analysis
To open the Truckload Tracking and Root Cause Analysis Dashboard, under the Analyze menu in the sidebar click TL Root Cause Analysis.
This page provides the ability to view Truckload tracking data and the reasons for tracking failures.
The table below contains descriptions of the controls and graphics.

1. Filter button |
Click this button to open the Truckload Analytics Filter panel and filter the view of data around Locations, Dates, and Carriers. |
2. Shipments Tracked Overall |
Shows the percentage of shipments tracked on all carriers. |
3. Top Root Cause for Untracked Shipments |
Shows the largest reason for untracked shipments. In the example above, it’s due to Missing Tracking from API Carrier. Click the View Details button to see the recommended action for fixing tracking issues. |
4. Untracked Shipments by Connection Type |
Shows the connection types for the untracked shipments (Direct, Telematics, App). Shipments that did not have an active tracking method (i.e. Carrier did not have a configured tracking method) are labeled as None. |
5. Root Cause Errors over Time |
Table listing the top Root Cause Errors for the current selected period (via the Filter), the number of Shipments affected, and the Percentage Volume. |
6. Affected Shipments by Carrier |
Table that contains a list of the carriers, their Root Cause Errors, Connection Type (APP, ELD, or DIRECT), Total Shipments, Tracking percentage, number of Untracked Shipments, and a download button to export the data for that carrier to a .CSV file. Click the Number in the Untracked Shipments column to open the Outstanding Issues by Carrier page. |

Recommended Action
The purpose of Recommended Actions are to enable you to fix the tracking issues in order to increase the total tracking percentages.
To view the recommended action for improving the tracking percentage for a particular carrier, click the View details button in the row of the carrier. The Recommended Action window appears.
The action recommended is specific to the tracking issue(s).
