What is Featured on the ClearMetal Dashboard?
When you log in to the ClearMetal application, you will land directly on the dashboard page. This page will give you an overall picture of your supply chain. For deeper localization and customization, you can filter your dashboard by location and/or time windows using the filter panel on the left side of the board.
Now, let's take a deeper dive into each model on your dashboard.
The Completed Container Trip Performance chart pulls simple insights from the shipments board that answer questions such as:
-
How many containers did we ship over the time frame specified?
-
How many containers experienced ocean delay?
-
How many containers arrived on-schedule?
-
How many containers arrived early?
The Top Lanes by Volume chart provides a quick overview of top lanes and volumes. Hover over the bars to view additional details for a lane including volume, median transit time, and carrier.
The purpose of this chart is to:
-
Quickly identify the top shipping lanes and view lane-specific details.
-
Understand global and port volumes.
In the Route Variability chart section of the dashboard, switch between viewing the Highest Route Variability and Lowest Route Variability charts to find an overview of the lanes performing the least or most consistently, respectively. Click on the drop-down menu to switch between the two options. Hover over a lane bar to view additional details for a lane.
The purpose of these charts is to:
-
Quickly identify which routes have the most inconsistent transit times and the details for those routes in the Highest Route Variability chart.
-
Quickly identify which routes have the most consistent transit times and the details for those routes in the Lowest Route Variability chart.
The Rolls by Container Volume chart is exception-focused and provides an overview of the number of 'rolls' occurring each day. You can view the displayed trend over time to understand if exceptions are increasing, decreasing, or remaining steady.
The purpose of this chart is to:
-
Understand the frequency of rolls. Rolls are detected and communicated today in a fragmented and manual process, and most users simply do not have a good understanding of how often they occur.
-
Identify exception trends. Are rolls increasing or decreasing over time? Is there a particular event (for example, Chinese new year, internal events, etc.) that contributed to a spike in rolls?
In the Dwell Times chart section of the dashboard, switch between viewing the Top Dwell Times by Volume and Top Average Dwell Times charts to view dwell times at ports, specifically:
-
View the average dwell times at the highest volume destinations in the Top Dwell Times by Volume chart to understand Detention and Demurrage risks at top volume ports and if average dwell times are exceeding the available free time.
-
View the highest dwell times at any location in the Top Average Dwell Times chart to determine if specific locations are consistently exceeding available free time.
