ClearMetal's Journey Feature: See Exactly Where Your Vessel Is
Continuously receive updates on the progress of your shipment through ClearMetal’s predicted arrival times, and see the vessel’s current location, its traced route, using the Journey feature. With the help of satellites and on-land radio stations that are constantly monitoring more than 130,000 cargo vessels worldwide, use Journey to find where your shipment is and have confidence in when your shipment will arrive. To access the Journey feature and track your vessel on the world map, click the Journey Tab.
Use this map key to become familiar with the different icons and lines included on the Journey map.
Click on the vessel icon to see the name of the vessel carrying your shipment and its last recorded position.
Current Sailing
The traced route of a voyage that is currently underway appears as a dark gray line.
Past Sailing
The traced route of a voyage that has completed appears as a dark gray line.
Split Shipment
Shipments split across multiple vessels are shown on the map as separate vessels and trace routes.
Port Calls
The origin port is marked with an orange pushpin.
The destination port is marketed with an orange flag pin.
Transshipment
Each transshipment port call is marked with a double circle icon. Click the icon to see details on the port.
Vessel Location Timestamp Notice
In the top right of the map, you can find an alert of the last time vessel location data was received.
If AIS location data has not been received in more than a set amount of time, you will see an alert with information on how long it has been since vessel location data has been received. In the below example, there has been no location data received for the vessel Africa Bridge in five days. Missing location data can happen for a variety reasons.
