Behind schedule |
The ETA date as communicated by the carrier has not been met: The planned date already dates into the past, but an actual date for the event has not been confirmed by the carrier so far. |
POD arrival warning |
Exception that is logged for containers where the ETA at POD communicated by the carrier does not match the ETA date predicted by Ocean Insights. |
Subscription |
A subscription is created for a shipment reference number that is submitted for tracking. A subscription on the base of a BL or booking number can contain more than one container. |
Events |
Status or schedule changes of a container are logged as events. |
Milestones |
Specific activity or movement of a container on its journey. An overview over all milestones and statuses is available here. |
Exceptions |
Shipment status of a container. The current status of a container is always defined by the last milestone that has been reached. |
Master-account |
Parent view containing sub-accounts within one organization. |
Sub-account |
Separate views within one master-account into which the subscriptions are grouped. |
User |
Individual having a username and password to access the Container Tracking Platform. Based on the user permissions, a user may see only selected sub-accounts within one organization, or have access to the master-account that consolidates all sub-accounts and shipments. |
Tags |
Recurring labels that can be defined and linked to subscriptions or containers by the user. |
AIS Tracking |
Vessel tracking technology, capturing position and voyage information transmitted by the vessels through satellites and a global network of AIS antennas. |
