Why is the transit time differing from the result shown on the carrier website?
Information about the service offerings (including transit times) is often displayed in a static service description on the carrier website. The operational transit times, however, might differ from the static description. As we display the operational transit times in our port-to-port search results there might be a slight difference. The transshipment time in a transshipment port can also differ from the carrier information. Our calculations always assume a realistic minimum time of 48 hours whereas the shipping companies often state a shorter turnaround time in order to remain competitive.
