Port Intelligence
This page explains the Port Intelligence Product.
It provides only Ocean Mode data.
Is available globally.
While tracking ocean vessels and containers, project44 stores data such as dwell times and port-to-port transit times about every Shipment.
The Port Intelligence Product aggregates all data about these Shipments, calculates certain st atistics from it such as median dwell times, and presents it in a VOC Dashboard as well as making it available via the Port Intelligence API.
Through this Product, Customers see what kinds of situations occur at what different ports at what times based upon the millions of Shipments project44 has tracked all over the world.
This data helps Customers make sound decisions, such as updating ETAs to their customers or rerouting their shipments to different ports, as well as keeping other stakeholders up to date with credible information.
The table below details the current data available through Port Intelligence:
Bold: VOC Dashboard only.

(API) Port List |
Provides a complete list of all ports for which project44 has data. |
Enables API Customers to determine which ports project44 has data on as well as the ports' UN/LOCODEs, latitudes, and longitudes. |
Port-to-Port Transit Times |
Predicts how long a particular vessel leaving a particular port at a particular time will take to reach a particular destination port. |
Enables Customers to route through the ports currently best suited to get their shipments delivered the fastest. |
TEU Capacity |
Provides the twenty-foot equivalent unit cargo capacity of a container port. |
Enables Customers to understand the cargo throughput of a port. |
Carrier Performance |

Enables Customers to choose the quickest, most reliable Carriers for their shipments. |
Predictive Congestion |
Predicts which ports will be overcrowded at what times. |
Enables Customers to schedule their shipments at off-peak times for a port or through ports that will be free at the time needed. |
Personal Network Overlay |
Allows Customer to pull project44 data relevant to their personal port-and-Carrier network to overlay on top of the general project44 Network data. |
Enables Customers to focus on the network they actually use instead of seeing all data from everywhere. |
