Configure Task Settings for Automated Task Assignments
To configure settings for automated task assignments, open the Task Configuration page: Task > Configuration > Task Configuration.
The task configurations made here will affect the tasks in the Dock Console and the Task Listing page.
Use the drop-down to select the site you want to configure tasks for.
Turn on Smart Assign to automatically assign the spotter driver who is closest to the asset.
Turn on Task Automation to enable automated tasks.
Use Task Priority to order tasks by priority if there are multiple tasks in the queue. Drag and drop task priorities in the order you want them prioritized. The numbers to the right of each task indicate the level of priority for that task.
Turn on Link Tasks to avoid deadheading to reduce the miles a spotter is not hooked to an asset. The platform will assign tasks to ensure the spotter is hooked to assets during most of the trip.
Use Primary zone driver allowed for other zones after Idle to set the amount of time (in minutes) a driver can be idle in their primary zone before they can be assigned tasks in another zone.
Use Driver allowed to other zones after Idle to set the amount of time (in minutes) a driver can be idle before they can be assigned to tasks in other zones.
Use Escalate Normal Task after to set the amount of time (in minutes) a normal task is prioritized to a high priority task. This ensures old tasks are not ignored.
Turn on Assign Only Live Users to assign tasks only to online users.
Use Consider user as Offline when no mobile Heartbeat after to set the amount of time (in minutes) a user can be inactive before being marked as offline.
Set the types of trailers that can make round trips with Round Trip Trailer Types.
Set the dock doors that can facilitate round trips with Route Trip Dock Doors.
Use Missing Trailer Location to assign a spot to place trailers that are unaccounted for.
Use Zone/Areas to be excluded for Auto Task to identify outdoor locations that should not be included in Task Automation.
Click Save Config at the bottom of the Task Configuration page to save any changes.
