Configure Asset Management Settings
Asset management settings are configured in Asset Configuration.
To access Access Configuration, click Asset > Configuration.
Asset Configuration is made up of the Asset Type, Product, Asset Status, Asset Class, Asset Condition, and Inspection Status Tabs.
Configure Asset Types to define specific assets in the Asset Listing, Vehicle Listing, Trailer Listing, and Gate Console.
To create a new Asset Type,

Click Add Asset Type.

Enter the Asset Type information.

The Asset Class specifies if the Asset Type can be applied to an asset, container, IT equipment, vehicle, or trailer.

If you set the Asset Class to ASSET, the new asset type will be available in the Asset Listing page and can be applied to arriving and departing assets in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to CONTAINER, the new asset type can be applied to arriving and departing containers in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to IT EQUIPMENT, the new asset type can be applied to arriving and departing IT Equipment in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to TRAILER, the new asset type will be available in the Trailer Listing page can be applied to arriving and departing trailers in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to VEHICLE, the new asset type will be available in the Vehicle Listing page and can be applied to arriving and departing vehicles in the Gate Console.

Asset Class is configured under the Asset Class tab.

Click SAVE.
Configure Product information that can be assigned to vehicles in the Vehicle Listing page.
To create a new Product,
Asset Status can be used to define the status of an asset in the Asset Listing, Vehicle Listing, Trailer Listing, and Gate Console.

Click Add Asset Status.

Enter the Asset Status information.

The Asset Class specifies if the Asset Status can be applied to an asset, container, IT equipment, vehicle, or trailer.

If you set the Asset Class to ASSET, the new asset status will be available in the Asset Listing page and can be applied to arriving and departing assets in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to CONTAINER, the new asset status can be applied to arriving and departing containers in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to IT EQUIPMENT, the new asset status can be applied to arriving and departing IT Equipment in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to TRAILER, the new asset status will be available in the Trailer Listing page can be applied to arriving and departing trailers in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to VEHICLE, the new asset status will be available in the Vehicle Listing page and can be applied to arriving and departing vehicles in the Gate Console.

Asset Class is configured under the Asset Class tab.

The Content Status field only appears when you select TRAILER as the Asset Class Type.

Click SAVE.
Click the checkbox next to the Asset Class to enable or disable it. Enabled Asset Class types can be applied to assets in the Asset Listing, Vehicle Listing, Trailer Listing, and/or Gate Console.
Asset Conditions are used to restrict asset movement based on condition.
To create an Asset Condition,

Click Add Asset Condition.

Enter the Asset Condition information.

The Asset Class specifies if the Asset Condition can be applied to an asset, container, IT equipment, vehicle, or trailer.

If you set the Asset Class to ASSET, the new asset condition will be available in the Asset Listing page and can be applied to arriving and departing assets in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to CONTAINER, the new asset condition can be applied to arriving and departing containers in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to IT EQUIPMENT, the new asset condition can be applied to arriving and departing IT Equipment in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to TRAILER, the new asset condition will be available in the Trailer Listing page can be applied to arriving and departing trailers in the Gate Console.

If you set the Asset Class to VEHICLE, the new asset condition will be available in the Vehicle Listing page and can be applied to arriving and departing vehicles in the Gate Console.
