Create and Manage Carriers
Add Carrier information (SCAC and name) to the Carrier Listing page in your YMS account. Use this information to associate assets with carriers.
Note
This article does not include information about how to create a carrier user. A carrier user can log in to the Carrier Portal to book an manage shipments. Adding a carrier to the Carrier Listing page only adds carrier information to be used in the YMS. To create an account for a carrier user, refer to Create a Carrier User.
To access the Carrier Listing page, click Asset > Carrier Listing.
To add Carrier information,

Open the Carrier Listing page.

Click Create Carrier.

Enter Carrier details.

Enter Detention/Demurrage details to enable Detention and Demurrage monitoring. See the Detention Listing documentation for more information on Detention and Demurrage reporting.

Click Save.

The Carrier's information is now available to be used for YMS workflows. See more details on where to use Carrier information in the next section.
Any Carriers added through Appointment Management are automatically added to the Carrier Listing.
The Carrier information created in the workflow above is used throughout the YMS including to:

Create a shipment on the Delivery and Pickup page and in the Live Delivery, Live Pickup, Drop Delivery, and Drop Pickup Consoles

Book a shipment in Appointment Management

Arrive or depart shipments in the Gate Console

Filter and send information in the Trailer List

Filter detention charges in the Detention List

Run Carrier Management reports
