Convey Revised Delivery Appointment Date Exception
Overview
A shipment in Convey x project44 will be flagged with the “Convey Revised Delivery Appointment Date” exception (if enabled for a Convey x project44 account) when a carrier provides any updated delivery appointment date, start time, and/or end time information for a shipment to Convey x p44.
Specifications

Convey x project44 may receive delivery appointment date information from the carrier through both incoming carrier reports or actively scheduled tracking requests to the carrier’s APIs. If updated/revised delivery appointment information is received from multiple sources and is updated multiple times, Convey x p44 will trigger the “Convey Revised Delivery Appointment Date” exception multiple times on a single shipment.

Convey x project44 will record any updated/revised delivery appointment date, start time, and/or end time associated with a shipment as soon as it is received/sent to the Convey x p44 platform. Receipt of updated delivery appointment information, if the “Convey Revised Delivery Appointment Date” exception is enabled for the account, will trigger this exception.

The “Convey Revised Delivery Appointment Date” exception can be triggered multiple times for a single shipment, as many times as the delivery appointment information is revised and sent to Convey (i.e. the date, start time, and/or end time delivery appointment information).

The “Convey Revised Delivery Appointment Date” exception will trigger if the delivery appointment date, start time, and/or end time is revised to a date or time that is earlier OR later than the existing delivery appointment date, start time, and/or end time on the shipment in Convey x p44.

As the shipment progresses in the shipment lifecycle, Convey will actively compare current delivery appointment date (DAD) information from both carrier reports and tracking API requests with the previously recorded DAD information, to track if any net-new or revised information is received.

If the “Convey Revised Delivery Appointment Date” exception is enabled for a customer account, the exception will be generated and exposed in the Convey x p44 App/UI and in the shipment events that are sent through the data-out API(s).

Enablement
The ability to generate this exception correctly is highly dependent on being able to receive quality data from the carrier(s) for the given account. Due to this pre-requisite, accounts must be individually evaluated and enabled for this Convey-generated exception type.
